Thank you all, again. We spent a lot of yesterday talking about the little things he did, good and bad! We are realizing now the little things are what we will miss the most. Just having his presence with us, like going for a morning jog or to the dog park or an off-the-leash vacation spot like MoClips, WA, to even just driving to the store, he was always with us. And YES, he was a Coug, no doubt about it! Some of the best conversations I had about this football team were with him, and he always seemed to understand when I would watch a game, then turn to him and say “what are they doing!?!” But some of the best moments, like the 2003 Holiday Bowl on TV, he was jumping up and down with me. :) Thanks again.

I like the idea of a BBQ. I think the best way to find about someone is to just get to know them. Maybe lead in with environmental disaster… With all of the weather issues it is a good idea to prepare for short term disaster as much as well as long term WROL type of situations. People that are less inclined to discuss TEOTWAWKI are still generally open to the short term prep.

Rest In Peace my dearest step father. July 6, 2010. My step father died of a heart attack while driving back from work. He crashed and his truck flipped. The peramedics came, they gave him oxygen…he was alive for only 20 minutes…uncuncious but alive. Until God said no more…(Sorry breaking out rite now)…My mother and i had bought him a Burger King Burger with his fries and drink. We came home with a message he had passed away. The hamburger spoiled for 1 month in the refrigirator. IMissU

Concept of Green Building Ensures Your Proximity to Mother Nature –

Another lush greenery gem discovered.. a beautiful place =)

I am looking forward to exploring the deep Karri forest and waking up in the woods to birds and sounds of nature. Well, in a about a month's time, we will not only be strolling or jogging through a forest but walking through trees as well(literally):p

And not forgetting climbing TALL trees too

These forest trees are gigantic: compare the size of the car driving along the trees :)

A vid of the forest:

The nature and landscapes of Western Australia is simply exhilarating! They are filled with wide open spaces, waterfalls, ancient rock fomrations, white-sand beaches and expanses of springtime wild flowers. This is something I only discover recently =)

All the nitty gritty details of the itinerary are almost finalised. There are so much to see but we only have so much time. Got to go thru the painful task of striking some places off the list. But even then, the itinerary will be filled with adventures, wonders of nature, crystal blue beaches, australian gourmets and beautiful landscapes :)

We like to believe that most tap water is safe to drink and that our state and federal regulators are on the job when it comes to ensuring that’s the case. But a new report from the General Accountability Office suggests that a lack of data from the states is causing problems for the Environmental Protection Agency’s efforts to monitor the quality of drinking water. The GAO found that states failed to report 26 percent of violations of water quality health rules and 84 percent of violations of water quality monitoring rules. At the behest of Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the government watchdogs at the GAO examined the records of 14 states from 2009, looking for violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the 1974 law aimed at protecting public health. The report dinged “inadequate training, staffing, and guidance, and inadequate funding to conduct those activities" for the lapses. The report also included this frightening example of why water quality monitoring…

Cora,

Thanks for your generous offer of exchange, Snakes for Monkeys for Dominica.

Unfortunately, we are unable to act on your request at this time. Our members have voted overwhelmingly against your proposition, citing several right-to-life clauses in our constitution.

Our primary concern is survivability in Dominica itself.
While the lush greenery and landscape of your island present a very appealing habitat for our members and their families, we do not wish to replace the beloved crapaud as your nation's new favourite delicacy.

Thanks Again and Best Wishes in 2011.

everyone covering this story as they think the problem is the same everywhere. If Detroit can draw at their great park with their four-generational fanbase, the first generation Rays fans should be able to draw the same in the worst park in the American League is some crazy logic put forth but the national media.

Sternberg and crew were the first to set up the Saturday concert series, the Friday night night club, they're considered to be one of the best values in baseball, and their promotional efforts were considered to be the best in all of baseball for 2010. Besides giving the tickets away to every game as they did for the final game of 2010, I'm not sure what else they could do.

If the Rays would have sold the farm to get a 3 month rental of Lee, there is no guarantee they would have struck the same type of gold that the Marlins did in the past. After all, Cliff Lee did not deliver a World Series to Philly in 2009 and Roy Oswalt did not deliver a World Series in 2010 to them either and the Phillies emptied their farm system to make those deals.

The Rays have to worry about more than just financing the 40 man roster in 2011. Friedman said yesterday what I said a few days ago – the saved money on Garza will be reallocated. It is no mistake that all of the bats that were on the market were going elsewhere since Werth's crazy deal skewed the market but that is now coming back to Earth and there are DHs to be had and good relief options left. The Rays also have as many as 10 or 11 draft picks to negotiate with this summer and after their issues in 2008 that caused them to pass on Posey and 2009's top two draft picks not signing, the club had to make this deal AND make sure they have cash on hand to properly handle this slew of picks. Keith Law said it yesterday on Twitter – he had a scouting director mock-complain to him yesterday about how many picks TB will have.

If they're taking money from revenue sharing and investing it into scouting, draft picks, and the international efforts, I'm fine with that because this process is nothing without a constant refreshing of talent.]]>

My point is this. In dealing with a problem there are at least three steps.1. Identify a problem and assess whether it is big enough to require intervention.2. Study the problem to understand it well enough to formulate whatever solutions (if there are any) might be necessary.3. Intervene. As far as the global warming issue is concerned, we are still muddling through step 1. Too many people have skipped step 2 and are engaged in step 3. This makes no sense unless you assume they are in a state of panic.]]>
